Switching from retail to direct sales

XLBoom is a Belgian design brand. Their mission is to create objects that, in addition to being functional, evoke intense emotions and create a pleasant, luxurious atmosphere in any environment. Since 1997, XLBoom has been selling quality design objects made by various designers on behalf of the brand. In search of the best materials, the unique XLBoom products are made in multiple workshops outside Europe.

Global boost for online presence

The company already had an extensive network of professional distributors and partners. Still, it also wanted to be able to sell its thousands of design products directly to consumers, both in Belgium and abroad, through a webshop. With the help of our dedicated digital team, they pulled it off in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

Connecting with customers through usability and luxury

As with every platform we develop, one of our top priorities is usability. To make website visitors happy, they should be able to smoothly navigate the website and swiftly find what they’re looking for. Since XLBoom offers thousands of design objects, navigation should be clear and user-friendly so they don’t get lost in the immense product range.

Starting with brand strategy, target audience, and goals, we performed different design exercises. We landed on a minimalistic, modest and timeless design. This way, we could let the beautiful design objects be the stars of the webshop. Immersing customers in beauty, luxury and cosiness is a way to connect emotionally with them and eventually seduce them to make a purchase.

Easy-to-navigate webshop

We built a contemporary-looking, user-friendly webshop, starring the XLBoom colours. The products, in their many sizes, colours and materials, are now easy to find in various categories thanks to adjustable filters. Our digital team also developed multiple systems for invoicing, stock management, logistics and marketing automation. These technical solutions make the lives of our client ánd their customers so much easier.

Attracting 50% more visitors

In the second half of 2021 and early 2022, the XLBoom website got 50% more visitors than the previous year. The brand managed to sell more products directly to consumers than ever before and also got an increased demand from professional distributors. Month after month, the webshop is growing in all product categories in Belgium and abroad.

Today we still support XLBoom. We share marketing advice, keep the website up and running, give technical and legal support, unburden its marketing team and train its people in website management.
