Since 2012, we have been teaming up with Kortrijk-headquartered company Savaco. The full-service IT provider has carried out several acquisitions since 2018 and is growing steadily. Because of these acquisitions, Savaco now has branches across Flanders and its corporate structure is evolving. Our client invited us to collaborate on a brand architecture exercise, incorporating different partners into one strong brand.
After working out a brand organogram together, our design team developed an integrated logo for Savaco’s six business solutions. We updated the blue colour to make it look better on screen and print, and added six shades of blue to differentiate between the individual business solutions. Apart from the expanded, refined and more contemporary colour palette, we also developed customised font and motion branding guidelines for the website and social media. To us, rebranding also includes motion branding, as this helps brands to stand out online. The logo shape inspired us to always use a fixed movement, from left to right.
We also focused on a strong, new visual language. Instead of portraying IT-related scenes, we highlight the impact of Savaco’s solutions. This means we show happy customers whose lives have positively changed because of Savaco. The updated visual language perfectly fits its baseline: “IT’s about impact”. The new key visual is also linked to ‘impact’, portraying a hand that causes a ripple effect.
With this rebranding, which was rolled out in different touchpoints including the website, we ensured Savaco is well-equipped to face the future. Not only because the company now has a fresh and modern design which is easy to apply, both offline, online, and in motion, but also because it now has a strong visual identity and a clear vision of how to integrate future acquisitions.
Our design team developed extensive branding guidelines, tone of voice guidelines, Word and PowerPoint templates and a branded email signature, providing our client with all the necessary tools for the long run.
